TIGMUS is proud to present: Hazey Jane, Richard Morris and Lewis McKale at the George Tavern!
Hazey Jane are an English folk-indie quartet from London. Hackney based, harmony driven and easily confused, the band are indebted to Nick Drake, CSNY and John Prine. From such artists, Hazey Jane have derived their own bona fide craft of songmanship, exhibited most poignantly throughout their recent EP, 'Us on a Wire'. Recorded at Urchin Studios, Dalston, and produced by band confidants Mr Sander Van Laere (Michael Kiwanuka) and the right honourable Marcel Van Limbeek (Tori Amos).
Richard Morris has just been crowned "Best Unsigned Male" in the 2017 Best of British Unsigned Music Awards and released a follow up EP “Stay Alive” which hit No.3 in the iTunes Singer-Songwriter charts. He's also been awarded “BBC Introducing Artist of the Week” receiving airplay on all 40 BBC Stations and sold out shows at his home town venue The Wedgewood Rooms. His gritty and soulful songwriting and crowd pleasing performances have seen him share the stage with the likes of Clean Cut Kid, The Big Moon, Little Comets, Flyte, Skinny Living, Rationale and Guvna B.
Lewis Mckale has been writing and recording his own music for the past 6 years, his debut EP, My Father's Son was released in 2011, the follow up, The Bigger Picture EP was released in 2013. Lewis released a covers EP, Something Borrowed, which received radio play on Juice FM Brighton on Chris T-T's Midnight Campfire and was invited to open for him as part of his UK tour. Lewis went on to release a split EP entitled, Reflections, with fellow Brighton based singer/songwriter, Matt Bonner. In 2017, Lewis will be releasing his next EP, Black and White and will be releasing a split EP with Brighton based artist, Bad Mother Folker.
